The Undergraduate Teacher Education Program at Emory & Henry College

The undergraduate program in teacher education combines an academic major with classroom courses and field experience in education and leads to certification to teach in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our students usually begin their early field experience during the sophomore year with Introduction to Education, a one-credit-hour course that combines preparation for the Praxis I assessment with observation hours in public school classrooms.
